Dear Parents:
Subscription of 20 issues of bi-weekly hardcopy magazine “New Friends” (“Xin Peng You”, 新朋
友) and E-tutor On-line (electronic Chinese supplementary materials)
As part of the reading enrichment programme and an additional source of supplementary material to
learning Chinese other than the textbook, we would like to introduce to you a bi-weekly magazine.
There will be 20 issues of magazines from January to November 2018. Contents of the magazine
include passages and exercises, written in accordance to MOE syllabus and examination requirements.The subscription is bundled with an individual pupil’s login account, which allows access to ananimated portal, comprising a web-based comprehensive teaching and learning resource package. Thecontents include stories with vivid animation, synchronized reading passages, words recognition and synchronized activities that cater to the needs of pupils of different ability (e.g. Bridging module, Core module and Enrichment module).
With the online E-exercise system, pupils can also gain access to e-exercises and tests designed in
accordance to school text syllabus and examination requirements. The e-assessment features allow
auto-marking and tracking of pupil’s results, thus supporting home-based learning.
The annual subscription fee is S$21 per year. Students under school FAS (Financial Aided Scheme)
will be paying S$10 per year. Mode of payment will be in cash or cheque only. For cheque payment, please made payable to “E-com Digital International Pte Ltd”.
Please complete the attached envelop and hand it to your child’s CMT teacher by Friday, 26th January 2018. Through this programme, we hope to provide a holistic education for your child.
